Self

Self is much more than simply Jon’s “early” work. Early Quakers (most notably John Woolman) believed that the self must die before we can truly be at peace and working to instill peace in others. What would it mean for our selves to die? What role does the ego play in our culture, and how is it useful?

Jon reflects on these questions as he refines his craft. Self remains to this day his most cohesive album, each song threading the needle of the next. With impressive, creative production and thought-provoking lyrics, it is well worth a listen whether you’re familiar with Jon’s newer work or not.
